Browser Connector 1.6.2 for Chrome · optional

Your daily checks, done by your own browser.

With the extension paired, Chrome checks your tracked listings once a day, as you, from your own connection. When Chrome is closed, AMZM's servers do the check instead, so nothing is missed. It never asks for your Amazon password and never copies your cookies.

Already installed? Open your dashboard; it pairs by itself. Nothing to copy or paste.

How a daily check runs

Here is exactly what runs where.

AMZM

Your Chrome

1

Your Chrome

Once a day, it reads your tracked listings

In the background while Chrome is running, a minute or so apart, like a person would. Pages you open yourself count too.

2

Your Chrome

It reads what's on the page

Price, title, images, rank and the other details listed below.

3

Your Chrome

Sends one snapshot

Only that snapshot leaves your browser, with your private pairing token.

4

AMZM

AMZM adds it to the listing's history

Anything your browser didn't check (Chrome closed, paused, a CAPTCHA) AMZM checks from its servers a few hours later.

5

AMZM

AMZM compares and alerts you

If anything changed since the last snapshot, you get an alert and a suggested next step.

What it reads, and what it never touches

Reads from your tracked product pages

  • ASIN and title
  • Price
  • Rating and number of ratings
  • Number of images, and whether there is a video
  • Whether the listing has A+ content
  • Best Sellers Rank and category
  • The stock message
  • Who holds the Buy Box, and the bullet points

Never reads or stores

  • Your Amazon password or sign-in details
  • Your cookies (they stay in Chrome; nothing copies them)
  • Payment information
  • Order history
  • Cart contents
  • Seller Central or any other private account page

When it stops, and who takes over

It checks a handful of pages a day, spaced out, and backs off at the first sign of trouble.
